Your Key Responsibilities as a SHEQ Engineer

  • Provide SHEQ support to operations, including preparing project documentation
  • Offer guidance on high-risk activities and monitor charter SHE risks
  • Compile and facilitate risk assessment activities for projects
  • Provide SHEQ knowledge, documentation, and bridging documents
  • Conduct SHEQ inspections, verifications, and audits
  • Deliver SHEQ-related training and implement SHEQ Plan improvements
  • Investigate incidents and monitor corrective actions with project personnel
  • Prepare monthly SHEQ performance analysis and reporting

Who We Are Looking For


We are seeking a proactive and experienced SHEQ Engineer with a strong background in the maritime or oil & gas environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills, along with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.

You should have a Higher Professional Education or University Level degree, complemented by SHEQ specific education. A minimum of 10 years' experience in supporting project organisations related to SHE and/or Quality is essential, along with knowledge of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code.

  • Higher Professional Education (Bachelor) or University (Master) Level
  • SHEQ education on bachelor level (e.g., NEBOSH, Quality Management, Auditing)
  • At least 10 years of experience in SHE/Q support for project organisations
  • Preferable experience in maritime or oil & gas environments
  • Knowledge of and experience with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to build and foster strong relationships
