Do you enjoy driving and want to make a difference as a volunteer? We are looking for you! We aim to establish our 'own' taxi service for clients with intellectual disabilities in Nieuwveen and the surrounding area. This role involves providing safe and reliable transport, contributing significantly to the well-being and social inclusion of our clients.

What Your Volunteer Role Entails

  • Transport clients to family visits and social clubs.
  • Drive clients to essential medical appointments, such as hospital or dental visits.
  • Undertake journeys with a maximum one-way distance of 35 kilometres.
  • Communicate your availability to the coordinator at the end of each month for the following month.
  • Assist in coordinating ride reservations based on your communicated availability.
  • Participate in a fair distribution of driving assignments as managed by the coordinator.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of clients during transport.
