As an Allround Ships Electronics Engineer at Boskalis, you will independently work on complex Electrical & Instrumentation systems on board our ships. Your role is crucial in maintaining and synchronizing all operating and control systems, ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance worldwide. You will be part of a dedicated team contributing to groundbreaking marine projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and implement maintenance and repairs on electronic and instrumentation installations on board.
- Maintain and calibrate all control and operating equipment, including electrical drive systems and PLC technology.
- Resolve urgent electrical problems on board efficiently and effectively.
- Implement and monitor technical and safety standards, suggesting improvements where necessary.
- Ensure all electrical & instrumentation systems and nautical instruments are operational for optimal production.

Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Allround Ships Electronics Engineer who is passionate about maritime technology and complex control systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, particularly in PLC and computer technology, and be familiar with large frequency-controlled drive systems. You should be proactive in problem-solving and committed to achieving results in a challenging environment.
Your ability to work independently, coupled with excellent communication skills in English, will be essential for success in this role. You should also be comfortable with regular international travel and thrive in a dynamic, global setting. A commitment to technical and safety standards, along with a keen eye for continuous improvement, is highly valued.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience on board complex ships, preferably in dredging.
- Completed secondary or advanced technical education at bachelor (hbo) level.
- Proven knowledge and experience with PLC, computer technology, and information technology (Scada / network).
- Familiarity with marine navigation, communication & control systems.
- A good command of written and spoken English, and no objections to regular international travel.
