As an HR Business Partner for the marine crew in the Fleet Management department, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the organization by embedding Human Excellence pillars into daily practice. You will be responsible for executing and monitoring HR policies, contributing to organizational optimization, and acting as a trusted advisor to management and employees.
Your Impact as HR Business Partner
- Act as a trusted advisor, sparring partner, and coach for the Crewing department and vessels worldwide.
- Execute and monitor HR policies, continuously improving and future-proofing them for the marine crew.
- Actively participate in HR projects aligned with Human Excellence pillars, building a strong HR foundation.
- Guide and support managers in implementing key HR processes, focusing on development, talent review, and succession planning.
- Support personal development and ownership among the crew, coaching members throughout their career journey.
- Translate insights from daily practice among marine crew into concrete improvement plans.
- Develop new HR solutions when existing ones are absent, pioneering within existing frameworks.
- Visit vessels to connect directly with the marine crew, our valuable assets.

Who Thrives in This Role?
We are seeking an HR professional with at least 5 to 7 years of relevant HR experience, ideally within an international, hands-on organizational culture. You should have a proven track record in successfully managing HR projects and hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or a similar field. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills in both English and Dutch, coupled with excellent social skills that enable persuasion, influence, and relationship building.
We value individuals who are proactive, result-driven, and take ownership, consistently initiating improvements based on their expertise. You are solution-oriented, daring to challenge the status quo, and enjoy exploring new approaches collaboratively. Your ability to build bridges and translate strategy into practical, tangible results, even when pioneering within existing frameworks, will be key to success.
- At least 5 to 7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in an international, hands-on organization.
- Proven track record in successfully running HR projects.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or similar.
- Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
- Excellent social skills, including persuasiveness, influence, and relationship building.
