C&A is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This pivotal role within the Data & Analytics team requires a servant leader with deep technical expertise in data architecture and data management, combined with proven engineering leadership to drive best-in-class MDM capabilities across various domains. You will manage and develop high-performing engineering teams, overseeing the full solution lifecycle from architecture to delivery.
Your Role in Shaping Our Data Future
- Lead, coach, and mentor cross-functional engineering teams
- Manage end-to-end implementation and support of data products
- Drive design of scalable data models and quality standards
- Champion engineering best practices (code quality, testing, documentation)
- Partner with Data Product Managers for business alignment
- Define and track KPIs for team performance and platform health
- Ensure compliance with SDLC and enterprise architecture standards
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends
- Contribute to hiring and professional development of engineering talent

Who Will Drive Our Data Innovation?
We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Engineering Manager with a strong background in data or software engineering, particularly within enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills, a customer-centric mindset, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation. Your ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, coupled with expertise in modern data architectures and cloud services, will be crucial for success in this role.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in data or software engineering, including 5+ years in engineering leadership
- Proven track record in delivering and managing data solutions in enterprise environments
- Solid experience with SQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), Kafka, and cloud services (AWS Glue, Data Factory, Databricks)
- Experience leading engineering teams in Agile/DevOps environments with CI/CD tools
- Strong technical and functional understanding of canonical models and distributed data architectures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to create a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
