As a Global Category Manager for IT & Telecom, you will be pivotal in shaping and executing the global sourcing strategy for an annual spend of approximately CHF 80 million. This strategic role involves driving cost efficiency, fostering value creation, mitigating risks, and cultivating robust partnerships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders across the organization.
What Your Day Will Look Like
- Develop and implement global category strategy for IT & Telecom aligned with business objectives
- Manage and optimize annual global spend, delivering measurable cost savings and value improvements
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes, negotiations, and contract management
- Drive supplier performance management, including governance, risk management, and innovation
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders across various departments
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, proactively influencing demand and sourcing decisions
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor market trends and technology developments to identify opportunities and risks
- Support digital and transformation initiatives through optimal commercial models

Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic individual with a proven track record in procurement and category management, specifically within IT & Telecom. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation and analytical skills, a high level of business acumen, and the ability to operate effectively under cost pressure in a fast-paced, international environment. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, especially at senior and executive levels, are crucial for success in this role.
- Bachelor or University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Procurement or Category Management with strong IT & Telecom exposure
- Proven track record in managing complex spend portfolios and delivering cost savings
- Solid experience in contract negotiations, commercial models, and supplier governance
- Strong understanding of IT commercial structures (e.g., software licensing, cloud services)
- Experience working in international and matrix organizations
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial skills
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
